Our Mission
In partnership with social partners and sister organization, AKMOS endeavors to increase the contribution of its members and improve the quality thereof as well as strengthen their social and economic position. In this regard, AKMOS will anticipate the developments in the economy both on a national and global level, pursue the promotion of interests in the broadest sense of the world, render collective and individual service to its members and organize and encourage contacts with colleagues. For this purpose, the principle of social responsibility and socially responsible entrepreneurship will serve as a guideline for AKMOS and its members.
To achieve national and international goals, we must build strong relationships with target audiences, use advocacy and technology, and leverage resources and expertise.

Who are the Board Memebers?
Hariepersad Soekhlal
Chairman
Harie chairs AKMOS, a Suriname SME group, and advises the government and private sector on improving productivity and success. He’s a substitute member of the Socio-Economic Council of Suriname since November 2021.
Viandhar Oedjaghir
Secretary
Viandhar Oedjaghir has 15+ years of logistic experience, serving as the secretary for AKMOS. Duties include minutes-taking, meeting preparation/follow-up, member administration, correspondence, and as a liaison to the AKMOS Board.
Vijay Jankipersad
Vice President
Mr. Jankipersad is a Bio Medical Engineer, International certified trainer in the field of refrigeration technology. He has 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, & teacher. In daily life Director of COOL EXPERT NV.
Anwar Alibux
Commissioner
Mr. Alibux is a Chemical Technologist and Environmental Scientist. He has 12 years of experience as an entrepreneur, teacher and scientist. As a Supervisory Board member at AKMOS, he is jointly responsible for internal control and member registration.
Martijn Schaap

I’m an experienced civil engineer who has worked for multiple companies across various countries since 1998. For the past 10 years, I’ve been working at an engineering firm in Suriname where I use my expertise to help small and medium-sized businesses to grow and become stronger.
Balgobind Satish
Commissioner
Meet Mr. Balgobind, an accomplished entrepreneur with 20+ years of experience. He is currently Director of SuriGraphics N.V. and on the Board of AKMOS. He has a track record for success and a commitment to excellence.
